Corporate Confession of Sin
O holy Father, most merciful God, you alone know the full extent of my wickedness. My sin is ever before me, and it certainly cannot be hidden from you. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, according to your steadfast love. Grant that my sins may be washed away by the all sufficient power of Christ’s cleansing blood. Renew me and give me a fresh awareness of your gracious presence with me. Help me to call others to embrace your mercy, not in arrogance but as one who knows full well that I deserve to be cast away from your presence. Help me to sing of your righteousness and to declare your praise day after day. Do good to your church in your good pleasure. Build up your holy temple, that your people may offer their lives as living sacrifices in response to your amazing grace. For we ask it in Jesus’s name. Amen.
